My pet peeve with the Weather Channel is those infernal percent chances of precipitation they put in their local forecasts. I haven't heard those in years on the radio or TV forecasts, and was glad they had stopped doing them. Now that we've had the Weather Channel on our cable the last 8 years, I see those stupid things every day, and that's what they are. Any fool with the brains God gave a gopher can look at the weather maps and radars and know the percentages are a crock of crap. It insults my intelligence to look at a radar and see a solid line of storms coming straight at me and have the damn local forecast saying "40% chance of rain". I remember one time going fishing with my father on a day they had said 10% chance of rain. HA!!! As we came up out of the creek valley and back to our car, it started to rain. And it rained. It rained and stormed without relief all damn night, to the point that the creek came up 3 feet and was unfishable for 3 days. 10% indeed! BAH, HUMBUG!!!!!
