My daughter loaned us her apartment while she was away in Florida last weekend. Got in around 6:30pm and had a "gift certificate" for a restaurant called Atlantic Grill on 79th and 3rd. Couldn't get a reservation until 9:15pm, but when we got there, they had seats at the sushi bar so we took those. Food at the Atlantic Grill was simply outstanding (bill under $100 for two without drinks).

Took a nice leisurely stroll up 3rd Ave. and Madison Ave. to 89th St. and went to the Guggenheim. I was shocked to see a line outside (but then again, they've still got the Rockwell Exhibit - we saw it up at the Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge). Also had an exhibit of Brazilian art and artifacts. The whole experience was great (wife not from NYC, so everything we do is new and amazing for her). Took a bus downtown to Rockefeller Center where we we met unbelievable crowds.

All in all, a great weekend in New York City (one that we don't do enough since we would have to drive in and then have a hotel room).
