Welcome to Flossary Dan!

First off, I think you're correct that the business concepts and technology behind companies and sectors are going to be a huge part of Flossary. After all, how can an investor properly value Amazon without knowing what SaaS is?

There hasn't be a clear category strategy to this point. Mostly, Fools have been putting companies into their respective categories, but we haven't yet had enough concept/tech terms to come across this issue. The same holds true for sector/category metric terms, like how same-store sales fits into Retail.

Here's what I suggest. Please feel free to suggest another approach:
1. Continue putting companies into the broad categories
2. Put related metrics, concepts, technologies into a new category called <x>Terms
3. Put the new category in as a subcategory of the broader one. You’ll see how it shows up a subcategory on this page:
1. Amazon’s will fit into the Internet and S&P 500 Index categories among others.
2. Add the term software as a service to the category Internet Terms
3. In the category Internet Terms, add [[Category:Internet]]

So the summary is that almost every category we create for a company will have a subcategory for the terms that relates to it. Thoughts on this approach?
