Well as I said, it seemed like I would say the credibility is low based on the information on the other thread. Of course, Newsweek can be bought out as well as their articles were the ones referenced that questioned PCRM's credibility. It wouldn't be the first time that a news magazine lied. Newsweek was the one that said that PCRM has less than 5% physicians as part of it and lied about how Atkins died in order to further their veganism cause.

Other studies support that low GI foods are better for Diabetes and Insulin issues than non Low GI foods. The original article posted is slightly different than the CNN article. Basically the original article said that no restrictions were placed and it was completely vegan. Which is one reason I questioned the study. Looking at the CNN article article says it is a low fat, low sugar vegan diet. Personally, I think any low fat, low sugar diet is best for Diabetes, vegan or not.

Anyway, it would be interesting to see a vegan low fat/low sugar diet vs a non vegan low fat/low sugar diet. It wouldn't surprise me if there was no difference.
