Well, going briefly from lurking ... thank you! My 86 year old MIL went to someone NOT like you and had her money churned irresponsibly winding up in inappropriate investments until she now has nothing except social security. To be fair, she didn't listen to good advise either ("don't quit work and apply for early SS, don't invest in Oil & Gas Partnerships as your only investment, etc). And living with us for the last 20+ years, she has been a wonderful Grandparent to my kids.

But she could have found you and she could have listened. Hang in there!
