After reading through the board purpose, it sounds like I can relate (although I'm just a FIRE wannabe at this point)... to the following...Why do they live on smaller budgets? - They're trying to live on economy-battered stock portfoliosYes, mine's taken a beating, and I don't know if it will recover by my target date in 10 years.- It was the only way they could retire youngOr, "young-ish", before 65, anyway!- They were forced out of the work world before they were ready...could always happen!!- They draw a small pension incomeI will!- They have ample financially resources, but live cheaply because they get a kick out of itAhhh, I wish!I look forward to reading more on this board (REHP is a regular mud-slinging contest right now!)
