Well, it depends on what you want, but a high-roller like you should consider:

1) The Angus Barn: http://www.angusbarn.com/index.htm Pricey, but very good. On Highway 70 between Raleigh and Durham, near the airport, so it might be out of your way if you're going to or through the city.
2) 42nd Street Oyster Bar: http://www.42ndstoysterbar.com/ Love it. If you want seafood, here is where you want to go. A real landmark in downtown Raleigh.
3) Tir Na Nog: http://www.tnnirishpub.com/ I haven't been there personally, but have heard is good.
4) The Pit: http://www.thepit-raleigh.com/ Haven't been here either, but I'm sure it's good (I've been to a lot of similar places), and NC barbecue is like fireworks for your taste buds.
