Well, it seems like it's a console for playing mobile-OS type games on your TV.

Seems like, but if you read through the FAQ (or wherever it was in the material) they explicitly say it's NOT that. I think the idea is that they are using the Android OS as an open platform for developers to create any type of game - including AAA titles - not just ports of existing cell-phone / tablet games (which IMO are largely garbage ... with the exception of Fruit Ninja!)

For $100 I'd definitely buy it if they even come up with one game that looks remotely interesting. Ultimately, to make it a success, they are going to have to get at least one or two AAA class games out on that platform. Even if they are non-exclusives, given the price point I think they'd still generate plenty of sales.
