Well, it was quite a ride, I hired in Santa Rosa, learned real soon, that my qorld was bigger than I expected, worked the 1st 10 years, pretty much local, but then in the midst, was loaned temporarily to DAD for the NikeX project out on Kwajalein, Marshall Islands.. Hmm, volunteered to go to Caracas, but it didn't happen, but then electronic switching came along, so I went from Toll systems to about all the Ess switches we made.. Eventually back to a couple DR6 jobs, but also cellular popped up.. Data Systems, various black boxes, I started in on that, too, but the clock was ticking, I saw an escape route, took it... But looking back, so many really good people, techs, engineers, managers, in my 40 years, maybe 1 or 2 jerks, can't beat that! Some customers were tests of their own, but the bulk, really good... We did a little work for GTE/VZ in Novato near the end, also great, almost all done on a handshake, good folks.. I thought I would do some sideline consulting, small jobs, but as we know, all that dried up around here.. Little telecom valley is no more..

Enjoy your retirement, we definitely earned it! We'll be back up at Sea Ranch next President's Day weekend, maybe even this October, always good to wander the bluffs, beaches...
