Well, Russia was typical od many other museums. special exhibits are generally a no-no because they need to pay the freight.. Chahuli was an exception, I didn't take my camera at his SF exhibit, only to find it was wide open.. So we chased him down in the NW later..

Indian Reservations/galleries are another story, some are fine, always ask, respect their situation.. Artwork for sale is also touchy ,even for personal use.. Found that out long ago... Always ask.. Many times the shop owners have rules set by the original artists.. People, always ask...

The various mimes in Barcelona, Madrid spot a camera way off, turn away, better to pay, talk to them, tip well..

Common sense, and keep your eyes open to who's around..
