Well, the court decision will not necessaril make the credit card company do anything at all. The debt will still be hers as far as the credit card company is concerned. However, she will have a judgement against her father for the balance and that will be on his credit if he doesn't pay it. It will also allow her to take other steps to get it paid off if she needs too.

No offense, but her father should be giving her money directly to pay down this debt even if it is just a small amount each month. And if it were me, I would be doing some confronting on this issue since it is her credit he is ruining.
