Well the easiest thing would be to just treat the cost basis as zero. Of course then you'd be overpaying on your tax.I didn't fully follow everything but it sounds like you had 1 share of stock at FMV in 1966 plus $50 as your basis, and everything else has been the result of that?If so would your basis, if you could calculate it correctly, be much higher than zero?
