well, the only stimulating thing I could think of would be to become a technician for a few years and try and find yourself.

You could hunt down local pharmceuticals, but that probably will not yield much success without experience. try colleges, you should have a bit better luck - and you can personally email teachers and see if they have openings for a tech - they go out of their way to help if you show some excitement about their work.

probably will not get anything too interesting without a PhD - cant go to FBI, patent law, etc. generally, without an upper level degree, you get menial tasks to do.
