Well, what's *really* gonna clear up your credit history is paying off those loans, and for you to stop using the credit cards! You're living beyond your means, if you have that many charges, (and that many lines of credit).

So -- what to do. Yes, if you can transfer them to your wife's card, at 9.5% interest, you'll be better off, maybe. Why maybe? Because you have to see if there are any transfer fees, and how much they'll total up. And whether you can in fact transfer them.

But of course, even if you *could* transfer all of the debt to her card -- you *still* have to pay it off. And you'd probably max out her card. Are you sure she wants to have that happen? And to have her card suddenly show so much debt?

If you do transfer, don't forget to *write* to each company, cancelling the card. And then to the credit reporting companies, informing them that each card was cancelled *at the customer's request*.
