Well, xray, if that works for you, then more power to you. I can say this. If I ever have to have my leg cut open again to fix something (gods, I hope not), it wouldn't break my heart one little bit to have a surgeon with such an exacting mentality doing the whittling--instead of the assembly line treatment I got when I tore my knee cartilage. A surgeon who regards his or her work with such meticulous precision would sure look promising in my eyes.

On one point I don't think anyone would disagree with you: if there is any place in this world to pose a question about US$0.01 misplaced in investing, this would be that place.
