Well, yes. It is always good to time the market, and it can certainly be done, since the market trends. I do not know anybody who can pick the top or the bottom, but identifying the trend is not that hard.

And so far as the Fool's advice is concerned, on their advice I bought COMS (3COM) years ago. It went for a double, then headed down and in their model portfolio they sold it for a loss. Now how stupid was that? I did sell not too far from the top, at least, making a good profit. So I did better than the Fool.
