Well, yes. It is always good to time the market, and it can certainly be done, since the market trends. I do not know anybody who can pick the top or the bottom, but identifying the trend is not that hard.And so far as the Fool's advice is concerned, on their advice I bought COMS (3COM) years ago. It went for a double, then headed down and in their model portfolio they sold it for a loss. Now how stupid was that? I did sell not too far from the top, at least, making a good profit. So I did better than the Fool.
