We're trading in the old Chrysler (with GPS) in for a non-gps equipped Honda Odyssey. I'd like to get a mid-range GPS system that can be moved from car-car. I currently use my Samsung Instinct's GPS system (which I give a "B" rating after over two years of use) for our other car. We live in the Chicago-metro area, so I'm not looking to have this mounted to the windshield a lot (y'know, thieves are out there). Sitting on the dash works best for me.

Any thoughts? I use CNET a lot for ratings, but the difference in the user reviews vs. CNET's is pretty wide.

Thanks~

I NEVER, EVER purchase an automobile with an embedded GPS device for the very reason that you describe.
