We've had three grandsons 7,5,and 3 for two days....and parents still haven't arrived back to pick them up ....or should I say "relieve" us.
We have cooked favorite meals, played chess, knock out whist, Scrabble, I Spy, Memory, Stratego, gone to their favorite science/animal "museum" called Curiodyssey, which has live animals like river otters. badgers, snakes, a Channel island red fox and several bobcats, plus scientific play and learn displays....and we've read bedtime books, escorted scooters, and let them play by themselves and fight things out....

I must be getting very old. I will be happy to see them go....even though they have good hearts. Now I know why I had little girls, not boys.

By the way, I think 7 year old is quite bright to be challenging me in Scrabble, as in our house we take the game seriously. His vocabulary and spelling are amazing.

Anybody else on this board playing Lexulous or real Scrabble over the vacation? DH is a far better player than I am but we still enjoy Scrabble together. (No.... don't pick up any double meanings!!!) It seems the kids are game players too.

If anyone out in Boomer Land wants to play Lexulous with no stress/pressure involved and as much time (read days) as you need between turns, please let me know. It is very casual, and free.
