I have stock in Whitehall Jewellers and have a purchase offer 1.20 per share from Newcastle Partners. This would be a profit if I sold to them. But, I don't HAVE to right? I have looked at some of the other companies they have purchased and now you can't buy their stock. All of the symbols end in .OB. What does that mean? If I held my stock and the company goes under, I'll just loose what I have invested, right? I mean more than likely there would be no selling of assetts at least not for shareholders.
