I'm a big RPG gamer (yes, I'm just finally working my way through Neverwinter Nights for the first time, but give me a break - I have a full time job!) and I enjoy a good FPS once in a while...

But my other two favorites are God of War and Ninja Gaiden. What do you call these games? They're not first person shooters. They're not really adventure games in the classic sense. I'm talking about games where you learn cool moves (X,X,Y,Y) and can upgrade your weapons or magic as the game goes on. Not FPS, or RPG or MMORPG, so what do I call them? And are there any more good ones out there? A friend loaned me his Playstation, just so I could play God of War (which was a birthday gift - even though I've never owned a Playstation!) and I have an XBox, so are there any other games like this that you all recommend? Thanks!

-Marc
