what do you do w gifts you've received that you dont like, dont want,
dont know what to do with?

Well, I think the rules are different for adults and children. I think you should keep anything your child gives you, whether you like it or not, because the point is to show appreciation for the gesture.

But if the gift is given by an adult, all bets are off. Return what you don't like if you can, and either donate or regift if you can't.

Unless of course you are given something that is a family heirloom. Then you should probably keep it at least until the giver is deceased.
