What do you spend at a closing?
Maybe you have a sufficiently significant relationship with an attorney that he doesn't bill you for his time, but those of us who don't have counsel on staff might spend three-four hundred dollars on the process you describe. - eudaimon6 | Date: 10/23/2012 11:36:40 AM | Number: 69555
One of my attorneys is my daughter. I helped start her Law Firm, January 2006. The firm was admitted to practice Law before the Supreme Court of the United States <http://www.SupremeCourtUS.gov> in the Fall of 2006. The closing generally takes less than fifteen minutes. The Firm's hourly billing rate is $1K per hour, so if she actually charges me, the Legal Fee is $250; generally the closing is done pro bono since I from time-to-time perform volunteer Legal Research for the firm. That is called a barter arrangement. I also manage the Firm's Employee Retirement Plan without a fee.
