what does that have to do with muslim treatment of other religions in africa, the middle east.... would muslims suddenly decide to live in harmony with Israel.

Hard to day; remember though it is not jsut that we kill them, we also support and sometimes put in place repressive dictatorships who create both hate towards themselves and to us. Also since these dictatorships funded, militarized, and equipped by us crush anything like democracy and democratic institutions people flee to religion and often radical religion .

What we do today has results 10, 20, 30 years later and often as one author titled his book bring about "The Sorrows of Empire".

The Israel issue is complex and also driven by the aparthied policies that target Muslims, Arabs, and anyone "not Jewish"; these do not lead to any felling that harmony is on the table.

The Israeli government with its illegal invasion of the West Bank and Gaza in 1967, 45 years of occupation, illegal settlements, and a policy of "self deportation" (to steal a Republican meme) through making people live in Hades have created much of the hate...a now often well deserved hate, IMO.
