What events are you looking forward to seeing?

The closing ceremonies. I have enjoyed Olympics in the past but I'm tired of them adopting new sports for both the summer and winter games. Just an attempt at filling more hours (and more commercials) for the TV coverage. I'll admit I'm not a big fan of the snowboard competition and any other "new" areas that dilute the value of the medals. Let the kids have fun in their "radical" ways but why add it on to the Olympics? Just so America has another chance at more medals? You think these guys really care about Olympic tradition (see Nagano '98) or marketing themselves into big bucks?

Geez, let's make a sport out of running onto the frozen pond and sliding on your rear end....measure the distance and award the gold for the longest slide. No arbitrary judging necessary. How about ice sculpting? Etc. Etc. ad nauseum

Wake me up when it's over....

Sorry to be such a downer about it all but that's my two cents.
