What finish he used? How long it took to sand and/or finish?

The work included sanding of about 750 sf of oak floors in pretty decent condition, hand sanding of stairs, minor repairs (filling in small spaces), two coats of polyurethene(sp?) with a buffing after the first coat (which from what I watched the workers doing was really two coats).

It took three days with two men on the job for most of it. The first two days were the sanding and initial coat. Five days later (my painters did their work in between), they came back for a third day which was the buffing and the final coat. Then we let it dry for 72 hours before moving in. By the way, the buffing got rid of minor paint specks leftover from the paint job.

We left the floors their natural color, so there was no staining work to be done. The floors look great.
