What gets me is that I will organize my papers and then look in all the old places because I don't remember the new place I put them in. (It must be my age!!!) They do say short-term memory goes as one gets older! Judy

Don't worry. It's not so much that your memory's going as it is that we are critters of habit. Whenever I move something I have to retrain myself into remembering the new location.

I visited my mom's parents on a regular basis for 25 years (until they both passed away). For all that time, the big garbage can was in one location. After they died, my mom moved into the house and moved the garbage can to a new place. It took me almost three years to remember where the garbage can was. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to throw something away in the old place (walking right past the can in the process)! LOL!
