What is a G8 with the same specs worth in the US? Conversion isn't worth much except to the rare enthusiast.

That's what they did - they took a G8 and converted it to a Holden.

G8 GTs are selling for $20K to $25K - and considering those are 4 to 5 model years old, that's damn good retention of value. GXPs are still selling from $27K to $33K - I know one super clean museum grade one with less than 1K miles that sold for $37K in the last couple of months. Even a stripped V6 model built in 2008 is going for no less than $15K.

Anyone who had the idea that after Pontiac went bankrupt they could buy a G8 for 50 cents on the dollar...they're still waiting.
