As an asset class, GMO predicts timber will have 6.5% return on their 7-year forecast. What is the best way to invest in Timber? Any ETF's? What are the pro's and con's to consider?

Advanced thanks,

Plum Creek Timber is a timber REIT that is certainly worth a look.

There is an ETF with the symbol CUT, but I wouldn't recommend it.

There are 4 timber REIT's - Plum Creek Timber (PCL) Potlatch (PCH), Rayonier (RYN) and Weyerhaeuser (WY). If you go to Seekingalpha.com and search Tom Kametz, you will find some very good articles he wrote on REIT's.
