What person in their right mind earning $100K (~$50K after taxes) would turn down a raise - or take a new job - earning $150K?

I can hear it now - "sorry boss I don't want to get paid more because I will only get to keep 50%. From now on pay me less so that I can move down in tax bracket.

Hehe! Reminds me of a company I used to work for. When somebody would ask for a raise, the boss would try to convince them that it was useless since it would only mean more taxes... no kidding!

Not surprisingly, I don't work there anymore! :)
