I called EMC for the date of the next board meeting and they refused to tell me. I had my broker call them from Salomon Smith Barney and he received the same response. I think this may be due to the fact that at their next meeting every shareholder is anticipating a split. One would think that by refusing to tell shareholders of the date it only serves to further promote the split speculation? Are they within their rights to refuse the info. I requested?
