Hi --

I am a recent member to these boards and am not sure if I am posting this in the right place, but here goes.

My sister just found out that the school where she works was broken into and the administration has informed them that files containing all the teachers' personal information including full name, address, social security number etc were printed out and apparently photo copied (found the last page that was printed in the copy machine.) What should she do in order to prevent this information from being used. Does she need to change social security numbers? Change her bank accounts?

I told her I thought that she should contact the credit reporting agencies to advise them and call her bank to see if they had any other suggestions.

Thanks. Also, if you think this post is better somewhere else on the boards, please let me know.

Jean
