What you have described is similar to my treatment of QCOM. It was inexpensive at $30... so for six months I played the tops. You are correct, I did very well, but I was not utilizing candlesticks. On the flipside, I sold my position of IMCL @$50, missing the run to $75... although Graham&Dodd may not see a value company there.

When I first visited this folder I expected to find something similar to Trenchrat's folder. I've marked the folder as a favorite, but the host simply doesn't comment on candlestick movements.

One question...

Do you sell your entire position and buy back at a lower price (in theory)?
-- where do you park the cash...

Take a short position and cover at the turn?
-- preserving the tax benefit of LTBH
-- no missed opportunities if the stock gaps-up
