What you will notice with the LG LCD is the clarity. The article Warrl posted said that if you sit off center, which my wife does, an LCD screen might not be the best option. I don't even know what an LCD screen is but if I don't buy an LCD screen what are the alternatives and what kind of screen would or should I buy if not an LCD? I think this Christmas I'm going to splurge and get us a fancy new TV. One I can stream Netflix shows and movies over. Artie I wouldn’t worry about being off-axis with the LCD TV. Only a problem when viewing the set from an extreme angle, which you don’t have. Bonnie’s seat will give her a good view. The reason I suggested the LG LCD is because other alternatives (plasma, etc.) add to the cost of buying and, frankly, the LG LCD with XD technology, is best bang for the buck. Don’t let a salesperson try to sell you a ‘better’ TV saying his choice does this and that. It may but in most circumstances not needed.Between now and the end of the year there’s going to be some good sales on TVs. Best of luck.MichaelR
