I am ln the midst of a pension tax exempt rollover.
I have contacted several brokers, online & storefront types.
My pension fund will not send my check to a P.O.Box for obvious reasons. It must be a physical adress, so that it could be sent by registered or certified mail to make sure it gets to where it is supposed to go.Schwab and Etrade offered P.O.Boxes.
I ended up choosing a Local Edward Jones office to start me off.
The trouble with Edward Jones is that they have their prefered mutual funds:American, Lord Abbott....which I am not to keen on. I have the feeling I will have an electonic transfer from E. Jones to a more compliant broker.
I would like to hear from fellow fools in fooldom to hear some feedback into this situation. Thanks, Brucevich
