What's been promised, of course, is that if you make under $250k filing jointly, your taxes won't go up. I'll be surprised if it turns out that way.


I don't earn anywhere near $200K in income, even with my RMD income.

Maybe my taxes won't go up, but...and I am going to express this once again...when I had to start taking out RMD from my IRA, Medicare considers I believe anyone earning over $85,000+ to be in the "wealthy" group. I am currently paying a monthly fee of over $220 for MedicareA/B. And I expect that to go up 2011.

I already don't spend a lot of money, at least on myself. But if all goes well w/o any more surprises, I hope to make up upgrades to my house.
