I just recently signed up for TMF and found this folder through casual browsing. It seems as if it's pretty quiet, so here's my attempt at making it active again, especially since I firmly believe that people our age (assuming that the majority of "just out of college fools" are in their early 20s...this may not apply to you) should be taking the time NOW to learn as much as they can about investing. What better way than to exchange ideas and experiences with those in the same boat.Anyway, how did you get started in investing? Are you just starting out? What are your financial goals, and what are you doing to meet those goals? I just wanted to get a feel for everyone's thought process at this point in their lives. As for me, I've been getting into retirement accounts. I recently started contributing to my employer's 403(b) plan - 10% of every paycheck - all concentrated on a single index fund. (Fidelity Spartan U.S. Equity Index). I also just opened a Roth IRA, and am planning on making regular contributions to it as well (not sure if I can max out every year, but I will try). I'm still waiting for my electronic fund transfer to clear, but when it does, I'm looking into concentrating that whole account into an index fund as well, probably a Vanguard Target Retirement or LifeStrategy Growth fund. I'm still in the learning stages, and the decisions I made above were made per the advice of some more experienced Fools throughout these boards. My goal for now is simple: generate as much wealth as possible for my retirement. So that's what I've been up to. What have you been up to in your investing endeavors?
