When I bought it back in mid april I sinfully did not really think or realize the fact that it was cyclical and what implications that has.  I just bought it because I love my Honda, I think they are a great company that makes a great product.  I did not consider competition.  I also wasn't really trying to "time" the market although I did appreciate the fact that I was getting in at a good price when the stock was down for reasons I could not deduce.  I figure it evens out in the end because I don't plan on selling HMC for a decade or more because I'm a true believer.

I notice the stock had a run recently but then came right back down.  The weird thing about all of the HMC news is that I can't make heads or tails out of most of the news items about sales being up or down.  The stock seems to react less to sales figures than it does to a stronger dollar to yen ratio.
