When I was married it was a penny in the jar, but times were different. I never bothered with the jar because I didn't think that things could possibly slow down enough to compare 1 to the rest of a lifetime. Just wanted to say there is also something good about the "empty nest". Entering the 36th year is still good with the right spouse.
