When the "misfortunes of others" are a result of their own stupid choices, particularly their irresponsible choices in the voting booths, it's just a dark comedy. How can you not laugh when something so predictable results in such richly deserved backlashes? It's an episode of The Many Million Stooges.

When ACA was passed, some of my liberal friends crowed to me that finally they were going to start getting rich people (not so subtly lumping me with them) to get to feel some of the pain of poor people (not so subtly lumping themselves with the poor).

Ironically, I get my healthcare from my employer. I get it because I learned highly sought after skills in college to get a very good paying job. The cost of healthcare is small compared to my total compensation, so my healthcare doesn't change much.

They however haven't worked very much over the last 20 years (degrees in art history and philosophy). They will be force to pay the ACA fine and they still won't get health insurance.

So they thought they'd screw me to get something for nothing.

Instead they screwed themselves and didn't hurt me much at all.

I think many liberals voted for similar reason (screw those rich guys, we'll get them to pay for our health care). Instead they screwed themselves.

I'm not happy they're getting screwed, I'm happy that they get yet another chance to learn the lesson: "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is."

Unfortunately the vote democrat. If they haven't learned that the democrat platform is a bunch of empty promises over the last 20 years. The chances are pretty small that they are intelligent enough to learn that lesson in the next 20 years.
