When you include back the mileage as in your example, some used cars (1-3 years) are more expensive than new cars with big rebates. Most cars have a sweet spot for depreciation in which the curve levels off. I do not still have the spreadsheet, but it varied between 5-10 years depending upon the make and model.

There are reasons I have a soft spot for you, in spite of our many well-documented differences.
