WHERE SHOULD THE EQUITIES BE AND WHERE SHOULD THE BONDS BE?? MAN I'M GETTING A HEADACHE OVER THIS.

The bonds should be in the tax-sheltered account, and the equities should be in the taxable account. You don't pay any tax on the gains of your stocks until you sell them so they can grow in a tax-deferred manner outside an IRA or 401K. The bonds throw off income that is taxed at your marginal rate even if you don't spend it, so they belong in the IRA or 401K.
