Where were you on September 29, 2000, when AAPL dropped more than 50% in a single trading session?

Apple was a very different company in 2000; the iPod didn’t yet exist, there was no iPhone or iPad. No buds, no Beats, no iTunes Store, no apps. Cash flow was thin, the colorful iMacs were selling, but not to business or in great quantities to schools. It’s hard to remember just how far Apple has come in these relatively few years.

And yet... nothing lasts forever. Remember when Xerox was so prevalent that it became a verb, like “google”? Now it’s been acquired by Fuji, the Japanese company best known for being a knock-off film company. Now *that’s* a stunnning fall.
