Which brings me to something I've been wondering about lately: What is the absolute ideal speed for getting the most mileage per gallon from your vehicle?

There has to be a point of diminishing returns -- and a point where you are just sucking it down. I'd like to know the ideal/perfect speed for getting every last inch of mileage out of a gallon of gas.

How would you figure that out?
Or...who would know?
