I know this is somewhat redundant, but I *have* read throught the past couple months of the forum, and still haven't come up with a definitive answer. At age 43, I am extremely new to the investment scene, unfortunately.

I want to start and IRA for the purposes of
1.) Saving on my taxes now.
2.) Supplementing the small 401K I have via work(employer) contributions.

I can afford approximately $200/month.

- Do I start a normal or Roth IRA?

thanks.
