Which is a valid point to argue - but do it based on a comparison on the most recent OS releases. People won't take you seriously if you compare OS X to Windows 98.


That's fine when you put it that way, but that's not what LoMoney was trying to say.

What really got to me was the underlying attitude. His point was one of "silly Mac users, they don't belong to the alpha geek club" - not one of trying to be helpful.

In any case, if his audience is mostly using Windows 98, it is a relevant comparison. I would say most switchers upgrade Windows 98 to MacOS X, not XP to MacOS X. It doesn't make much sense to talk about an OS no-one is using (XP).

I mean, if they are going to upgrade, they may as well do it properly!
