Recently, It was explained to me to match my portfolio with a wholelife policy accumlating cash value and at retirment begin spending down my estate leaving the cash or face value of my inherhitance to my heir. The metephor was used that the policy is like a permission slip to spend your estate down. The cash flow of spending down was much greater than the interest income on the retirment portfolio. Does that make any sense?
