Why are all debates centered on Libs versus conservatives? The Social Security issue is more important than that.

Has the US increased tax rates to cover SS over the years. The answer is yes. Can they continue to do that in the future to keep it viable? Yes. Should they do that? Well... that is where the discussion starts.

SP believes that there should be some sort of means test and I do not think this is a bad idea in general. The hard part is what do you test? Income? Assets? It gets a little tricky. Can we talk about the merits of the argument rather than state
a) All libs are stupid, lazy people who want the state to take care of them (P.S. - They are stupid also
b) All repugs are stupid. If Dumya hadn't done this thing in Iraq, we would have $1,000,000,000,876,567,231 to spend on SS.

Is that too much to ask? I hope not.
