Why do people think writing is so easy? I've often wondered that myself. Maybe it's a common escape fantasy -- it's so much easier to dream about writing that brilliant screenplay or novel rather than actually committing the words to paper and facing your own limitations. At least for me, every written work is perfect in my mind, right up until I actually start writing. Then I have to struggle with my awkward syntax, boring sentences that need to be reworked, editing (ugh!) etc. etc. etc.

It's enough to make me want to smack everyone who think writing is soooooooo easy.

Writing is something my heart has been telling me to do my entire life--it is a passion for me, and I am finally starting to listen to my heart, because to use a cliche, for me, writing is the journey, not the destination.

who may take up full time writing as a form of dieting, since if I do it full time, I won't be able to afford food
...which is why I've chosen food writing as my genre. I may not make much money from it, but at least I'll eat well! *grin*

Best of luck to you!
