Why don't you visit www.mpip.com: it's a discussion board for cancer survivors.

Are you kidding me? Catherine, that was WAY out of line.

2 years ago I held my father's hand as he breathed his last. Before that, I watched a published author, accomplished musician, and doctor who spent his life helping others lost his abilities as the lung cancer expanded in his brain. First he couldn't use the remote control for the TV. Then the telephone. Then his sentences lost their structure: phrases got garbled, thoughts drifted off to silence. Soon he could only make grunting noises and stare at the ceiling.

He was 55.

Thank you so much for bringing up cancer in this discussion. On this board. REALLY appropriate.

Catherine, you have a history of lashing out at others, in inflammatory and inappropriate ways. This is a new low. Even for you. You're consistently one-sided in your thinking. You consistently respond to TONE rather than CONTENT (shining example: the "14 hours till closing" thread). And yet you sit on your high horse, talk down to borrowers, and hide behind the excuse that we are experiencing record refinance rates. You take umbrage at slights against you (real or, more often, perceived) and rather than "erring on the side of understanding", lash out against others and escalate the whole thread. I recommend you review the Golden Rule. It's pretty important when trying to build or maintain a community like we have here at the Fool. When you're done with that, may I suggest you learn to review your posts for tone before you hit Submit.

Go ahead and flame me for ranting. If your post was topical, then so is this. But the bottom line is that I now have to spend the rest of the day trying NOT to think of my father, and that, Catherine, is thanks to you.

I apologize to the board for this rant. As soon as the images came back, it just kept going. I had to get that off my chest.

Sock - Your post was topical and worthwhile. I hope your loan goes through without any further hitch.
