Daisytek has formed a Priority Fulfullment Service (PFS) division for doing contract shipping. They hold the inventory for their contract customers and charge them a percentage of the value of the goods shipped. According to the most recent earnings statement, it accounted for about 10% of DZTK's business in 1998 and has doubled each year for the last 2 years. They are now contracting to handle the shipping for numerous Web retailers.

If you want to know more, there is DAILY message board action over at Yahoo. (Sorry, but this board is dead.) The address for the DZTK message board there is http://quote.yahoo.com.

When you get there, key in DZTK, click "Get Quotes", and on the DZTK page (on the right) click "Msgs" and you'll find a lot of good commentary -- as well as the usual bonehead remarks.

See you there.
